Our Story
Our church started as a Southern Oregon mission outreach of the Presbytery of the Northwest in 1977, along with another group of families in Grants Pass. Trinity Presbyterian Church was formally organized in 1983 in Medford, Oregon as a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC), along with its sister church Faith in Grants Pass. The Rev. Calvin Malcor served as the organizing pastor for both congregations.
Through the 1980s we met at the Roxy Anne Grange Hall in East Medford. In 1985 Pastor Malcor accepted a call to pastor in Illinois. The Rev. Ted Gray served as our next pastor from 1985 to 1990, when he accepted a call in Florida. The church struggled in the early 90s, so we called Jay Milojevich in 1993 as a tent-making pastor while he continued his professional counseling work. In 1994 we moved to Mt. Pitt Ave in West Medford.
After Pastor Jay returned to full-time counseling in 2007, we called Rev. Brian Nicholson in 2009. In 2016 we moved to Windsor Ave in East Medford. Dustin Thompson served a pastoral internship from 2020 through 2021. In 2022 when Pastor Brian retired, Mr. Thompson was ordained and installed as our pastor.
